HOW WE STARTED

Born from a personal need

In 2012, our founder Darren Nelson watched his father struggle with chronic back pain and limited mobility after a workplace injury. The equipment available was either poor quality, impossibly expensive, or not covered by any funding scheme. That frustration became the seed for Allevi8.

We started as a small Melbourne showroom with a simple philosophy: every Australian deserves access to the same clinical-grade sleep and pain relief technology used in hospital settings — regardless of their budget, location, or disability status.

Today, we're a nationally recognised NDIS provider operating across every Australian state and territory, with a clinical advisory team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and sleep specialists.

We tell you the truth, even when it's not what you want to hear. If a cheaper model is clinically appropriate for your needs, that's what we'll recommend — not the most expensive option.

We collect clinical outcomes data from our customers with their consent. This allows us to continuously refine our product recommendations and report real-world results to funding bodies.

Ongoing Support

Our relationship doesn't end at delivery. We check in at 2 weeks and 6 months, and our clinical team is available for equipment adjustments and re-assessments at no extra charge.
